Canadian punk rockers Simple Plan still going strong after 15 years!
This year marked the 15th anniversary of Simple Plan’s debut album “No Pads, No Helmets, Just Balls” and the band embarked on a global tour dedicated to celebrating their first record. What was awesome about this tour is that they played that whole first record from start to finish and it was just an amazing event to be a part of as a fan.

It’s been almost a month now since The Flash’s Season 3 finale aired and we saw that Barry paid the ultimate price for creating the Flashpoint timeline, as well as the evil speedster Savitar. We saw our hero retreating to the Speed Force, paying for his actions which raises the question, who will protect Central City without the Scarlet Speedster?! With the way Season 3 ended, I began to think that the show may be starting to really draw from the comic books moving forward into next season. It could even result in Wally West stepping up and be the driving force with the absence of Barry Allen.

So last week I got to attend a pretty awesome exhibition in London, it is a temporary display called The Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes! It mixes two of my favourite things growing up as a kid Lego and Superheroes, I mean what more could you ask for? Plus I’m an artist myself and always enjoying seeing art in different mediums and this was an opportunity to see something really cool and different.
What is The Art of the Brick: DC Superheroes you ask?
I was unaware of this exhibit and remember seeing it through a sponsored advertisement on Facebook and it peaked my interest! The exhibit itself is the work of artist Nathan Sawaya who has combined two of his own passions together Lego and comic books, to create some incredible works of art in an excess of well over two million individual bricks throughout the exhibit.

Its been 4 days now since I got back from the first Heroes and Villains Fan Fest London and I’m still buzzing thinking about how incredible the weekend was! When I sit here thinking about it I realised that I did so much during the show and got to meet so many amazing guests, all of which were just brilliant with the fans.
So this post is just going to be about me sharing the experiences with you guys about some of the guests I had the pleasure to meet. which was pretty much nearly all of them but I’m going to talk about the ones that really stood out to me and made an impact on the show for me personally.

Next month on 27th and 28th May I will be attending Heroes and Villains Fan Fest London, held at the Olympia convention center, which will be my first time attending this convention. This is event is arranged by the same organisers who are responsible for the ever growing Walker Stalker Convention, which is dedicated to The Walking Dead.
So what is Heroes and Villains Fan Fest you ask? The event itself provides fans for an intimate and personal experience with actors and actresses from some of your favourite television show and movies. The main attraction for this event is to meet cast from Arrow, as I believe the convention was formed by Stephen Amell, as well as actors from others hows such as The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Gotham; plus there are actors from movies that appear as well. The Heroes and Villains/ Walker Stalker Convention website has the slogan “It’s not just fandom, it’s a family”, which makes it feel like more than just your average Comic Con. I have never attended this event so it’s going to be a brand new experience for me and I am super stoked for this one. Talking to other fans who have attended it they have all stressed that it has been the best convention they have been to and that’s saying something. I think what this event represents that it is a unique opportunity to really get up close and personal with celebrities that you love from on screen, giving you the chance to hang out with them.

So I’ve been staring at my computer screen for the past half hour hoping words will appear and what do you know? Nothing appeared on screen! I know….SHOCKING!
In all seriousness though, I didn’t really know what to write for my first post scratching my head wondering what to write about so thought I’d start with writing about why I wanted to start a blog. I guess I’m at the stage in my life where I want to really focus on building something of myself and focusing on my career. I know what I want to do, but trying to get there and attain that job is difficult so I thought starting this blog would be a good stepping stone for me in getting online experience as a blogger and see where it will lead me. I mean I have a lot of thoughts and ideas that are rotting in my brain so I thought this would be a great way to share the world of Ben with you guys.
